Agustín Giay to Napoli

Quiet since 30 August 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 4%.

Napoli have had a concrete offer for Agustín Giay knocked back. Palmeiras turned down a bid of €13m for the 22 year old Argentine full back, who only signed with the Brazilian club in 2024 and is contracted until the end of 2030. That gives Palmeiras no urgency to sell cheap, even though Napoli are known to be shopping for defensive reinforcements. The story was broken by German Garcia Grova, a reporter with solid credibility, who confirmed both the rejected €13m bid and Napoli as the club behind it. Before that, Andre Hernan had already flagged Napoli's interest in Giay back in August, giving the link a second, independent voice. That is two separate reporters pointing the same way, which lifts this above idle noise, though neither is the very top tier of insider reporting. Right now this looks a long shot. Right now, neither condition is close to being met. Napoli's history shows they are willing to pay in this bracket for defenders. They paid €17m for a player from SPAL, €17m for one from Getafe in 2022, €15m from Hellas Verona and €15m from Brighton. A fee of €13m to €18m for Giay would sit co
