Alan Velasco to Tigres

Quiet since 31 July 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 9%.

Tigres have surfaced as suitors for Alan Velasco, with the Mexican side reportedly targeting the 24-year-old Argentine attacker as a replacement for Ángel Correa. The numbers under discussion are modest by top-end standards, a fee in the €2m to €3m range that sits close to Velasco's market value of around €3m. So far a €2m bid has been logged. Velasco is under contract at Boca Juniors until the end of 2028, which hands Boca the whip hand and no pressure to sell. The story rests on a single voice. German Garcia Grova, a reasonably reliable reporter, carries the exclusive that Tigres want Velasco to fill the Correa gap. There is no corroboration yet from a second source, and no sign that Boca have engaged, so treat this as one credible thread rather than a chorus. This is a long shot as things stand. For it to gain traction, Tigres would need to firm up their interest into a formal, improved offer, and Boca would have to decide they are willing to move a player tied down for over two more years. A €2m opener against a €3m valuation leaves a gap, and nothing suggests Boca are motivated sellers. Tigres have paid at this level before and higher: Belgrano to Tigres UANL for €7m in 2016, and Watford to Tigres UANL for €7m in 2022. Velasco himself moved from Dallas to Boca Juniors for €10m, so a €2m to €3m fee would represent a steep discount on his earlier price. Watch for a second reporter to confirm, or for Tigres to raise their bid toward Boca's valuation. Without either, this stays quiet.
