Antonio Nusa to Roma

Quiet since 29 July 2026. Last report: Alfredo Pedulla. Probability when it went quiet: 13%.

Roma are pursuing Antonio Nusa, the 21-year-old Norwegian attacker contracted to RB Leipzig until 2029. Talks have been live for several days, with Roma holding contacts on 29 July with both Nusa's agents and Leipzig directly. No agreement has been reached, but dialogue continues and Roma have not walked away. Every report on this move comes from Alfredo Pedullà, a well-connected Italian journalist with a solid record on Roma business. There is no corroborating voice from Germany or elsewhere yet, so the story rests on a single reliable source rather than a chorus. That is worth noting, though Pedullà's track record lends the reports genuine weight. The move is against the odds at this stage. Roma have lodged a bid reported at €34m, and Leipzig's asking price sits in a range stretching to €47m. The gap is the central problem. Nusa himself has given no indication of reluctance, which is why Roma have kept working; if the player had resisted, the club would have moved on. The fee is what has to give, and neither club has blinked yet. Roma have spent in this bracket before. They paid €42m for a signing from Sampdoria in 2018 and €41m for a player from Girona in 2024, so committing north of €40m would not be unusual for the club. Whether they are willing to go that high for Nusa specifically is the open question. The concrete next trigger is whether Roma table an improved offer that closes the gap towards Leipzig's valuation. If a new bid lands and Leipzig accept, personal terms are effectively ready. A competing club entering at a higher figure would also sharpen the situation
