Armand Laurienté to Fenerbahçe

Quiet since 5 July 2026. Last report: Santi Aouna. Probability when it went quiet: 12%.

Fenerbahçe have submitted a formal offer worth around €20m to Sassuolo for French attacker Armand Laurienté, aged 27. The bid sits at the bottom of the €20m, €27m range being discussed, and Sassuolo, who hold him on a contract until the summer of 2029, have every reason to hold firm for more. No acceptance has been reported, and this remains at the opening-bid stage. The story rests entirely on a single source: Santi Aouna, who broke the news on 5 July 2026. Aouna scores reasonably well for reliability on French and Italian football, and this was framed as an exclusive with firm detail, which carries weight. That said, one voice without corroboration is one voice, and until a second credible reporter picks it up, the sourcing is thinner than ideal. This is a long shot for now. Sassuolo's asking price and Fenerbahçe's opening bid are some distance apart, Laurienté is tied down for three more years, and the Turkish club would need to considerably improve their offer to move Sassuolo. A deal is possible but the conditions for it completing are not yet in place. Fenerbahçe's recent spending habits do support the fee range in principle. They paid €22m to Benfica in 2025 and €20m to Sevilla in 2024, so committing upwards of €20m for a Serie A winger fits their established pattern. Laurienté himself cost Sassuolo €11m from Lorient, so even a deal at the low end would represent a strong return. Watch for Sassuolo's response to the opening bid. A counter-offer, or a second club entering the picture, would be the clearest sign this is genuinely moving forward.
