Brahim Díaz to Besiktas
This move fell through. Last report: Fabrizio Romano, 5 August 2026.
This one is going nowhere fast. A move that would take Brahim Díaz from Real Madrid to Besiktas has effectively collapsed, and the block comes straight from the top of the Turkish club. Díaz, 27, is under contract with Real Madrid until June 2027 and carries a market value of around €35m, with any fee floated in the €19m to €27m range. The problem is simple: Besiktas say there is no deal to speak of. The reporting rests on a single, high-authority voice. Fabrizio Romano, one of the most trusted names in the business, relayed a direct line from Besiktas president Sardar Adali on 5 August 2026: "We are not working on Brahim Diaz deal." That is a denial from the very person who would sanction the spend, and there is no corroborating link suggesting otherwise. Treat this as a long shot. For it to revive, Besiktas would have to reverse a public position from their president, and a fee would need to land somewhere between the €19m and €27m being discussed. Right now none of that is in motion. The chance is slim, held back by the club's own words rather than by money alone. The framing matters here. Besiktas have proven they will spend, having paid €30m to Benfica in 2026 and €18m to Wolves the same year. Díaz himself moved from Man City to Real Madrid for €17m back in 2019. The money would fit their recent habits. The appetite, on this evidence, does not. What would change the picture is straightforward: a fresh, on-record softening from Adali, or a concrete opening bid. Until one appears, this stays dead.
