Braian Aguirre to Rosario Central

Quiet since 30 July 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 88%.

Braian Aguirre is on the verge of joining Rosario Central from Internacional, and the deal is being framed as done. The 26-year-old Argentine defender is set to move back to Liga Profesional football, with a fee of €1m in the conversation. Aguirre only left Argentine football for the Brazilian top flight recently, and this reads as a swift return home. His current contract runs to the end of 2028, so Internacional are selling a player under long-term control rather than letting one walk. The reporting comes from Cesar Luis Merlo, a well-regarded source who has labelled it an exclusive and stamped it #TratoHecho, deal done. Merlo puts the transfer at u$s 1.6M across a three-year contract. That figure sits a little above the €1m being discussed elsewhere, which is worth noting, but it is a single credible voice rather than a wall of corroboration. This one looks all but done. With a fee in the €1m region, a player who wants the move and a source declaring it complete, the chance is very strong. What is left is the paperwork and a formal announcement, not a fight over valuation. The money fits Rosario Central's recent pattern neatly. They paid €2m to bring Unión Santa Fe's man in back in 2016 and €1m for a Huracán signing in 2019, so a €1m outlay here is squarely in keeping. Aguirre himself joined Internacional from Lanús for €1m in 2024, so the value has held. Watch for the official confirmation and the signing of that three-year deal. Once Rosario Central post it, this is closed.
