Christopher Nkunku to Lipsia
Quiet since 18 August 2026. Last report: Alfredo Pedulla. Probability when it went quiet: 8%.
Christopher Nkunku's future is being tugged at again, and the latest name in the frame is Lipsia, who are said to be pushing for the 28-year-old France attacker on loan. The forward is under contract at AC Milan until 30 June 2030, so any exit this window would be a temporary one rather than a sale. As things stand this is interest, nothing firmer. Milan hold a long-term asset valued at around €25m, and a straight loan is the only structure currently on the table. The link comes from Alfredo Pedulla, a well-regarded voice on the Italian market, who reports that Lipsia are pushing for Nkunku with a loan possible. That is a single, credible source rather than a chorus. Nothing has been corroborated across other reliable reporters, so treat this as a genuine but thin thread for now. This one is a long shot. Lipsia are behind other suitors in the pecking order, with RB Leipzig the clear front-runner for the same player. For a loan to Lipsia to happen, Milan would need to accept sending Nkunku out temporarily and the more advanced options would have to fall away. Neither looks close today. Nkunku knows this market well. He joined Leipzig from PSG for €20m, moved on to Chelsea for €60m in 2023, then arrived at Milan from Chelsea for €37m. Milan themselves have moved players on at similar levels, selling to Atalanta for €24m in 2024 and to Lyon for €23m. Watch for whether any club formalises terms, and whether Milan signal a willingness to sanction a loan at all.
