Filip Przybyłko to FC Groningen

This move fell through. Last report: Tomasz Włodarczyk, 1 September 2026.

Filip Przybyłko will not be joining FC Groningen after all. Legia Warszawa's 18-year-old midfielder had his move to the Eredivisie club fall apart on 1 September, with both sides failing to close the gap after several days of talks. Just days earlier the deal looked to be edging forward, with the player having travelled to look round the club and a minor injury not seen as a problem. The board's decision after the weekend was expected to be the final step. Instead it ended in collapse. The whole story rests on one voice: Tomasz Włodarczyk, whose credibility sits at a solid 78 out of 100. He broke the negotiation, the visit and the collapse in three posts over three days, each one consistent with the last. That gives the reporting a clear internal logic, but there is no second outlet confirming any of it independently, so this remains a single well placed source rather than a corroborated story. With the talks already broken down and no fresh contact reported, this now sits as a long shot. For it to be revived, Legia and Groningen would need to find fresh common ground on terms that already proved unbridgeable once, and Przybyłko's fitness would need to stay clean. Nothing in the reporting suggests either side is working towards that right now. Groningen have a history of picking up inexpensive young talent, having brought in players from AIK and Gamba Osaka for €2m apiece and from Radnicki 1923 for €1m. Przybyłko would have fitted that pattern in profile, even though no fee was ever confirmed before things fell through. Watch for any sign the two clubs reopen contact before
