Gianluca Prestianni to Trabzonspor

Quiet since 8 July 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 8%.

Trabzonspor and Benfica have reached a basic agreement over the transfer of 20-year-old Argentine attacker Gianluca Prestianni, with the Turkish club set to pay a fee in the region of €20m for a player contracted until June 2029. The move is at an advanced stage, and Prestianni has reportedly been offered substantial wages across a three-year deal that would take him to the Super Lig. Two reliable voices have brought this story into focus. Cesar Luis Merlo, one of the most trusted reporters on Argentine football matters, reported on 7 July that negotiations had entered their final stage and that the player had received a strong personal offer. The following day, German Garcia Grova corroborated the broad picture, adding detail on the fee and the salary. Two credible sources pointing in the same direction gives this real weight. The deal looks a strong one to complete. Both sides appear to have moved close enough on the financials, the personal terms are reportedly settled in Prestianni's mind, and the status is already logged as agreed. The remaining work is procedural rather than fundamental, though the gap between a €17m bid and the upper end of Benfica's asking range means final paperwork still has to confirm the exact figure. Trabzonspor have already shown they will spend meaningfully this window. They paid €9m each to sign from Besiktas and Vit. Guimarães in 2026, and €7m for another player from Benfica the same year. Paying circa €20m for Prestianni would represent a significant step up from those deals, but Prestianni arrived at Benfica from Vélez Sarsfield for €9m,
