Giuliano Galoppo to Rosario Central

Quiet since 31 July 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 2%.

Rosario Central are the club testing the water for Giuliano Galoppo, the 27-year-old River Plate midfielder. The picture today is one of early interest and little more. Galoppo has started to weigh up Central's approach after turning down two bids from clubs abroad, and a fee of around €3m is being floated against a market value nearer €4m. Crucially, there is no agreement between the two clubs. He is contracted to River until the end of 2028, so River hold every card. This rests on a single source. German Garcia Grova carries the exclusive, framing Galoppo as the most in-demand name on the market and noting he snubbed the two overseas offers. It is one voice, credible enough but not corroborated elsewhere, so treat it as a genuine lead rather than a firm story. All of which makes this a longshot for now. For it to move, Central would need to close the gap between their €3m and River's €4m valuation, and Galoppo himself would have to commit to leaving a deal that runs to 2028. Right now none of those pieces are in place. The player is only beginning to think it over, and no club-to-club talks have opened. The money at least looks familiar for Central. They paid €4m to sign from Charlotte in 2024 and €3m for a player from Dynamo Kyiv, so a €3m to €4m outlay sits comfortably inside their recent range. Galoppo's own path, Banfield to São Paulo for €6m and then São Paulo to River for €4m, tells you this fee is modest by his history. The next real trigger is a formal bid from Central and River's response to it. Until an offer lands and Galoppo signals he wants out, this stays in
