Hugo Bueno to Fiorentina

Quiet since 24 June 2026. Last report: Matteo Moretto. Probability when it went quiet: 14%.

Fiorentina have opened talks to sign Hugo Bueno, the 23-year-old left-back who dropped into the Championship with Wolverhampton. The Serie A side see him as a full-back option, and early conversations centre on a fee somewhere between €10m and €15m. Bueno is under contract until June 2028, so Wolverhampton hold the stronger hand and are under no pressure to sell cheaply. For now this is interest rather than an agreement, with no bid reported as accepted. The link comes from Matteo Moretto, a well-regarded voice on the Italian market who states plainly that Fiorentina are in negotiations for Bueno. Moretto is a solid, credible reporter, but as things stand this rests on a single source. Nobody else has corroborated it yet, which keeps the story thin. This is a longshot as it sits. For it to move, Fiorentina would need to firm up their interest into a concrete bid and close the gap on a valuation Wolverhampton do not have to entertain, given three years still to run on the contract. The lack of a second reporter and the absence of any agreed fee are what hold it back. The money is in keeping with how Fiorentina do business. They paid €13m to Juventus in 2025 and another €13m to Bologna in 2026, the same €13m they gave River Plate in 2020 and Spezia Calcio in 2023. A deal in this range would sit comfortably inside their usual outlay. Watch for a second reliable source backing Moretto, or for Fiorentina to table a formal bid. Either would lift this above quiet interest.
