Jacob Widell Zetterström to Olympique Lyonnais

Quiet since 22 July 2026. Last report: Santi Aouna. Probability when it went quiet: 4%.

Olympique Lyonnais have added Jacob Widell Zetterström to their shortlist, and that is roughly where the story sits today. The 28-year-old Sweden goalkeeper is under contract at Derby County until June 2027, and the French club see him as an option only if one of their own goalkeepers leaves first. So this is contingency planning rather than an active pursuit. A fee of around €1m to €2m has been floated, against a market value of about €2m, with a €1m figure the number attached so far. The link comes from Santi Aouna, a reporter of decent standing, carrying an exclusive tag dated 22 July 2026. That is the whole of it: one credible voice, no corroboration yet from a second source. Treat it as a single reliable link rather than a widely confirmed story. This is a long shot as things stand. The move is conditional on a Lyonnais goalkeeper departing, and until that domino falls there is no vacancy to fill. Derby hold a strong hand too, with two years left on the contract and a modest fee on the table. For this to move, an exit at the French club has to happen first, then the clubs must close a gap between a €1m bid and Derby's likely asking price. Worth remembering how Zetterström arrived: Djurgården sold him to Derby for €1m. The money being discussed here sits in that same bracket, so nobody is overreaching on value. Watch for a goalkeeper leaving the French side. That is the trigger. Until then, expect a formal bid to be some way off, and a second source would lend the link real weight.
