Jadon Sancho to Al Ittihad
This move fell through. Last report: Ben Jacobs, 31 August 2026.
The move for Jadon Sancho to Al Ittihad has fallen over. The Saudi Pro League side looked at the 26-year-old England attacker as an option, but the latest word is that they have decided against making an offer. Al Ittihad feel other profiles fit their needs better, so Sancho, who is a free agent with his current deal running only until 30 June 2026, is left waiting rather than packing his bags. The key voice here is Ben Jacobs, a reliable and well-sourced reporter, who states plainly that Al Ittihad have no plans to proceed. He notes Sancho was considered, as first flagged by another reporter, but that the move is not expected to progress. This is not a thin whisper. It is a credible name closing the door rather than opening one. As things stand, this is a long shot. For it to revive, Al Ittihad would have to change their mind on the kind of forward they want, and right now they have signalled the opposite. Money is not the obstacle. Sancho would arrive on a free, with a market value around €18m, so the barrier is purely that the club prefer different profiles. Until that thinking shifts, the chance stays slim. Sancho's past moves show his ceiling and his cost. He went from Man City U18 to Dortmund for €21m, then from Dortmund to a €85m transfer, so a free would be a striking drop from those numbers. Watch for any sign Al Ittihad reopen talks, or for a rival club to move in for a player available on a free.
