Joe Gomez to Bari
Quiet since 24 July 2026. Last report: Alfredo Pedulla. Probability when it went quiet: 19%.
Joe Gomez, 29 and under contract at Liverpool until the summer of 2027, is being linked with a move to Bari. The defender carries a market value of around €13m, and the fee under discussion sits below that, somewhere between €8m and €11m. For now this is talk rather than a deal in motion, with no confirmed bid, no agreement between the clubs, and no medical booked. It reads as early interest, not a transfer heading for the line. The link rests on a single voice. Alfredo Pedulla, a well-regarded reporter, posted on 24 July that Gomez to Bari was official. That is a strong source, but it stands alone. Without a second reliable voice or confirmation from either club, one post, however punchy the wording, is thin ground to build certainty on. This is a long shot as things stand. For it to firm up, Liverpool and Bari would need to settle on a fee inside that €8m to €11m range, and Gomez, with two years still to run on his deal, would have to want the switch. The gap between his valuation and the figures being floated is one obvious brake. Nothing here suggests the move is close. Bari's recent business has been modest: Parma to Bari for €4m in 2022, Dijon to Bari for €4m the same year, Roma to Bari for €1m back in 2013. A fee near €11m would dwarf that. Gomez himself cost Liverpool €5m from Charlton in 2015. Watch for a second credible source, an actual bid, or Liverpool signalling they are open to a sale.
