Joshua Zirkzee to Juventus

This move fell through. Last report: Laurie Whitwell (The Athletic), 1 September 2026.

Joshua Zirkzee's move to Juventus has collapsed, and the picture around him has actually got busier rather than quieter. That rejection tells its own story: Zirkzee is not simply waiting for the best bid, he is being selective about the move itself, and nothing concrete has replaced the collapsed Juventus talks. Four well sourced voices, all pointing the same direction, even if the outcome they describe keeps shifting. Despite the source quality, this remains a long shot. United want a permanent sale or a loan with a buy obligation; Juventus have preferred more flexible structures, and Zirkzee's own rejection of the Fiorentina package shows he is not desperate to force any exit through. Everton and Fiorentina remain faint alternative destinations, but none of the three rivals looks close to overtaking Juventus as the most talked about suitor. Zirkzee joined United from Bologna for €43m, having arrived at Bologna from Bayern Munich for €28m, so Juventus paying anywhere near
