Karim Adeyemi to Al Ahli

Quiet since 9 July 2026. Last report: Fabrizio Romano. Probability when it went quiet: 12%.

As things stand, this is the faintest of whispers rather than a deal in motion. Al-Ahli are said to be drawing up a list of attacking options should Riyad Mahrez leave Saudi Arabia, and Karim Adeyemi's name sits among the profiles under consideration. There is no bid, no agreement, and crucially no sign Dortmund are looking to sell a 24-year-old contracted until June 2027. The whole story is contingent on a departure that has not yet happened. The link comes from a single voice, Sacha Tavolieri, relaying that Adeyemi is one of several names Al-Ahli have flagged. He carries reasonable credibility, but this is one report and one report only, no corroboration from a second reliable source, and the wording itself is conditional rather than concrete. Treat it as an early-stage tip, not a confirmed pursuit. This is a long shot for now. For it to gain real traction, Mahrez would first have to leave, Al-Ahli would then have to firm up their interest into an actual approach, and Dortmund would have to be persuaded to part with a player they value at around £39m. A fee in the £28.3m, £39.9m range is in the right neighbourhood, but with three years still on his contract, Dortmund hold every card. Right now the move is being held up by the fact that none of those dominoes has fallen. Watch the Mahrez situation first, his exit is the trigger that turns this from a name on a list into a genuine target. After that, the tell would be a concrete approach to Dortmund and a second credible source picking up the thread.
