Kévin Denkey to Hull City
Quiet since 12 August 2026. Last report: Tom Bogert. Probability when it went quiet: 11%.
Hull City have had a bid for Kévin Denkey turned down by Cincinnati, worth around €14m plus add-ons that could push the package close to €15m. The Togo forward, 25, remains under contract in Major League Soccer until the end of 2028 under a club option, and Cincinnati's rejection suggests they see little reason to sell cheaply with that security in place. There are a few weeks left in the summer window, so this is very much alive rather than dead, but for now it stands as interest rather than agreement. The story rests almost entirely on Tom Bogert, a well regarded reporter on American soccer moves, who broke the rejected bid on 12 August. His figure of roughly $15m plus $5m in add-ons lines up with the €14m to €22m range being discussed elsewhere. No second name has stepped in to corroborate yet, so this is a single strong source rather than a story confirmed across the desk. The chance of this actually happening is slim right now. Cincinnati have already said no once, and Bogert's own reporting only signals that Hull may come back with more, not that a deal is close. Real Betis are also credited with interest, which adds competition Hull cannot control. Call it a long shot that survives only if Hull raise their offer significantly and Cincinnati's resistance softens before the window shuts. Hull have paid similar money before. Their €23m deal for a player from Olympiacos in 2026 shows they can stretch to a fee near the top of Denkey's range, while the €9m Stade Rennais deal and €6m Aston Villa move in 2023 show they have also bought cheaper. Denkey himself arrived at Cinc
