Kristian Thorstvedt to Fiorentina
Quiet since 14 August 2026. Last report: Alfredo Pedulla. Probability when it went quiet: 14%.
Fiorentina's interest in Kristian Thorstvedt has resurfaced, with fresh contact reported between the two Serie A clubs this month. The 27-year-old Norway international is out of contract in 2027, and Sassuolo have made no progress on a renewal, which keeps the door open. Complicating things is the player's own position: he reportedly has another offer on the table and is taking his time before deciding anything. The story rests on two Italian reporters. Alfredo Pedulla, rated highly for reliability, flagged the renewed contacts between the clubs this week. Nicolo Schira, also well regarded, is the source for the earlier flashpoint, a €12m Fiorentina bid rejected by Sassuolo back in January. Two credible names pointing the same direction gives this some weight, though neither has yet reported a fresh bid or a figure both sides accept. Add a player who is stalling for time with a rival offer in hand, and Fiorentina need several things to break their way at once. Call it a long shot rather than a dead end. Fiorentina's transfer history offers some context: they paid €16m for a Genoa signing in 2020 and a similar €16m for a player from Basel, so spending toward the top of the Thorstvedt range would not be out of character. Thorstvedt himself arrived at Sassuolo from Genk for €10m in 2022. Watch for whether Fiorentina return with an improved bid nearer €17m, and whether Thorstvedt's rival offer fo
