Lucas Torreira to Venezia

Quiet since 22 August 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 14%.

Venezia want Lucas Torreira and have now moved twice for him, but Galatasaray are not budging easily. The Turkish club rejected an opening bid worth just over €5m, judging it too light for a 30 year old under contract until 2028. Venezia have since come back with an improved offer of €6m, which is where talks currently sit. No agreement is in place, and Galatasaray have given no sign yet that €6m clears their valuation. The story is well sourced for a rumour at this stage. German Garcia Grova, rated a credible operator on Argentine and Turkish football, broke the news of the rejected €5m bid. Daniele Longo and Cesar Luis Merlo, both established Italian reporters with strong track records, independently confirmed the follow-up €6m offer within hours of each other. Two separate voices landing on the same figure adds real weight to that number, even if neither club has confirmed anything publicly. Right now this looks a long shot rather than a done deal. Venezia have shown genuine intent by raising their bid once already, which counts for something. But Galatasaray knocked back a similar number only recently, and the gap between what has been offered and what the player is valued at, around €10m, is still wide. Unless Venezia stretch further or Galatasaray soften their stance, this stalls. Venezia have paid similar money before: €8m for a player from Sparta Prague and €7m from Hellas Verona, both in 2026. A €6m deal for Torreira would sit comfortably inside that recent spending pattern, so the fee itself is not the obstacle. Galatasaray's asking price is. Watch for any third b
