Marc Casadó to Al Ahli

Quiet since 8 August 2026. Last report: Matteo Moretto. Probability when it went quiet: 1%.

Marc Casadó's Barcelona future is up in the air again, and this time Saudi interest has entered the picture. Al Ahli have made contact with Barcelona over the 22 year old midfielder, who is understood to have accepted he may need to leave this summer. Nothing has advanced beyond that initial approach. There is no fee agreed, no medical booked, nothing close to a formal bid on the table. The story comes from two well regarded names. Matteo Moretto, rated highly for reliability, reports that Casadó does not rule out a move to Saudi Arabia but wants to take his time weighing every offer. Sacha Tavolieri, also a trusted voice in this market, adds that Al Ahli see the Spaniard as one of their preferred targets and believe they can win Barcelona round. Two credible sources saying similar things gives the interest real substance, even if it stops short of anything advanced. Right now this looks a long shot rather than a live transfer. Deportivo La Coruña remain the far more heavily backed destination, and Casadó's own instinct to go slowly works against any Saudi move gathering pace quickly. For Al Ahli to get anywhere, they would need to move from contact to a concrete number, and Casadó would need to actually prioritise the Pro League over Spanish or European alternatives. Neither has happened yet. Barcelona have sold academy midfielders for solid fees before, sending players to Atlético for €22m in 2023 and to Porto for €21m, so a fee in the €17m to €24m range discussed here would sit comfortably within that pattern if talks ever firmed up.
