Marcin Bulka to Olympique Marseille
This move fell through. Last report: Sacha Tavolieri, 18 August 2026.
Marseille sounded out Marcin Bulka, but the Poland goalkeeper never warmed to the idea. Contacts took place between the player's camp and the club's hierarchy, with a fee floated somewhere between €12m and €17m for the 26-year-old, whose market value sits around €12m. The problem is the player himself: Bulka has told those around him that he does not want to wear the Marseille shirt, and the approach has collapsed on that basis rather than on money. The reporting here rests on a single voice. Sacha Tavolieri, a well-regarded source, carried the line on 18 August 2026, stating flatly that Bulka never considered signing for Marseille and that he repeated his reluctance to his entourage. That is credible sourcing, but it is one report, and it points to a dead end rather than a live negotiation. This one is a long shot, and the reason is unusually clean. It is not a valuation gap or a rival club muscling in. It is the player's own refusal. For any revival, Bulka would have to change his mind entirely, and nothing in the reporting suggests he is close to that. As things stand, the door is shut from his side. Bulka knows the numbers around him. NEOM SC paid €15m to sign him from Nice in 2025, having watched Nice land him from PSG for just €2m in 2022. NEOM have shown they will trade at real prices too, selling to Al-Hilal for €23m in 2026. A €12m-€17m deal would fit that pattern comfortably, if the player were willing. Watch for any shift in Bulka's own stance. Without that, there is nothing to move.
