Memphis Depay's contract at Corinthians runs to the end of July 2026, but he is already being talked about as a free agent, with Marseille named as the club weighing him up. The picture, according to the reporting, is exploratory rather than advanced: Marseille have checked the situation but concluded his wage demands are too high for what they want to pay. Nothing suggests a bid or personal terms are close. The story has been carried by a cluster of voices rather than one dominant name. Andre Hernan has filed on it three times in a week, most recently on the 31st, which shows sustained interest in the story, and Fabrizio Romano, the most credible name in the file, has also touched it.
