Milton Delgado to Atlanta United

Quiet since 6 August 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 10%.

Atlanta United have made their move for Milton Delgado, and Boca Juniors have said no. The Argentine club rejected a bid worth more than €10m for a high percentage of the 21-year-old midfielder's rights, with the fee under discussion sitting somewhere between €9m and €15m. Delgado is tied to Boca until the end of 2029, which hands the selling club all the leverage. As things stand this is interest that has been firmly rebuffed, not a negotiation edging towards agreement. The story comes from German Garcia Grova, who carries a solid reputation and posted it as an exclusive. That is one credible voice rather than a chorus. No corroboration has appeared alongside him yet, so the sourcing is honest but thin: a single reliable report of a rejected bid, nothing more. This is a longshot for now. Boca have already knocked back a €9m offer, and with a contract running to 2029 they are under no pressure to sell a young midfielder they clearly value. For the deal to live, Atlanta United would need to return with a materially bigger fee, closer to the top of the €9m to €15m range, and Boca would have to change their stance. Neither has happened. The gap between a rejected bid and a done deal is wide here. Boca's recent sales show what serious money looks like: Dortmund paid €16m, Estudiantes LP €15m, and CD Maldonado €11m. Atlanta's first offer fell short of all three. Watch for a second, improved bid from Atlanta United. If they push past that rejected figure and Boca soften, this reopens. Until then, it stays stuck.
