Mohamed Touré to Trabzonspor

This move fell through. Last report: Rudy Galetti, 1 September 2026.

Earlier read, written at an earlier stage of this story: Trabzonspor have made an official bid to Norwich for Mohamed Touré, the 22-year-old Australia attacker who is tied to the Championship club until June 2030. The Turkish side are pushing, with further talks planned as they try to force the issue. Norwich, though, are not currently keen to sell, and their reluctance hardened after Touré scored a brace against Burnley. The fee under discussion sits between €8m and €12m, broadly in line with his roughly €8m value. So far this rests on a single voice: Rudy Galetti, a fairly reliable reporter, carried the news of the official bid and the plan for fresh talks. That is credible sourcing, but it is one report rather than a chorus. Nobody else has corroborated it yet, so treat the detail as solid but not yet confirmed from multiple angles. This one is against the odds as things stand. Trabzonspor have shown intent with a formal offer, but the deal is held up by a straightforward problem: Norwich do not want to let the striker go, and a player under contract to 2030 who is scoring hands them every reason to say no. For it to move, Trabzonspor would need to lift their bid well beyond Norwich's resistance point. Trabzonspor have paid at this level before. They took Vit. Guimarães's man for €9m in 2026 and Besiktas's for €9m the same year, with SC Bastia's arrival costing €10m. Norwich themselves signed Touré from Randers FC for €3m in 2026. Watch for a second, improved bid, or any softening in Norwich's stance, as the trigger.
