Mykhaylo Mudryk to Strasbourg

Quiet since 3 August 2026. Last report: Santi Aouna. Probability when it went quiet: 25%.

The idea on the table is a loan. Chelsea are said to be weighing a move to send Mykhaylo Mudryk to Strasbourg, the Ligue 1 club that sits within the same ownership network. It is the kind of arrangement that suits a young attacker who needs regular minutes, and Strasbourg would be the natural destination given that shared structure. For now, though, this is an idea and little more. No engagement between the parties has been confirmed, and Mudryk himself remains under contract at Chelsea until 30 June 2031. The story rests on a single voice. Santi Aouna, a well-regarded reporter who scores solidly on reliability, floated the notion on 3 August 2026 that Chelsea would like to loan Mudryk to Strasbourg. That is the whole of it. One credible source is not nothing, but there is no corroboration from a second reporter and no sign yet of talks taking shape. This one is against the odds as things stand. A single early report, however trustworthy the byline, is thin ground for a deal of this shape. For it to move, Chelsea and Strasbourg would need to actually open the conversation, and Mudryk would need to want the switch. Until that happens, it stays at the level of speculation. The route is well worn. Chelsea already sold to Strasbourg for €15m in 2025, and the French club has spent similarly elsewhere, €17m for a player from Alavés and €15m on one from Nordsjaelland in 2025. A loan sits comfortably within that pattern of movement between the two. Watch for a second reporter backing the story, or for the first concrete sign that Chelsea and Strasbourg have started talking.
