Nehuén Paz to Central Cordoba
Quiet since 29 July 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 6%.
Central Cordoba are working on a deal to bring Nehuén Paz, the 33-year-old left-footed Argentine defender, over from Huracán. Both clubs sit in the Liga Profesional de Fútbol, so this is a domestic move between rivals rather than a transfer abroad. Talks are said to be underway, but there is no agreed fee and no sign yet of the player being close to a switch. Paz is under contract with Huracán until the end of 2027, which gives the selling side a strong hand. The story rests on a single voice. German Garcia Grova reported that Central Cordoba are negotiating with Huracán for Paz, and that is the only source on file. His credibility rates modestly, and nothing has been corroborated elsewhere. As things stand this is a thin, one-source link rather than something backed across the trusted names. Right now this looks a long shot. For it to move forward, Central Cordoba would need to firm up terms with Huracán and persuade a club to part with a defender tied down until 2027. With only one report and no fee on the table, the balance sits firmly against completion for the moment. Huracán have shown before that they can command real money for their players. They sold to Udinese for €8m in 2018, to Villarreal for €7m in 2016, and to Boca Juniors for €5m. Those figures show a club that holds out for a proper price, which only makes a quiet domestic deal harder to force through. Watch for a second reliable source confirming the talks, or a concrete opening bid from Central Cordoba. Either would turn a whisper into a live negotiation.
