Ognjen Ugresic to Bologna

Quiet since 30 June 2026. Last report: Fabrizio Romano. Probability when it went quiet: 11%.

Bologna have made direct contact with Partizan Belgrade over the signing of 19-year-old Serbian midfielder Ognjen Ugresic. The approach is at an early stage: clubs have spoken, Ugresic is said to be keen on the move, but there is no agreement yet and Partizan hold him under contract until the summer of 2030. A fee somewhere between €2m and €5m is the working range being discussed. The story comes from Fabrizio Romano, who reported the club-to-club contact on 30 June. Romano is among the most reliable voices in European transfer reporting, so the contact itself can be taken as credible. Beyond his post, there is no corroboration from a second source at this point. For now this is a long shot. Bologna have taken the first step, and the player wants it, but a deal must still be agreed between two clubs who are some distance apart on price. Partizan will not be in a rush given the contract runs to 2030, which gives them every reason to hold out for the top of that range or beyond. Until a fee is settled, this stays fragile. Bologna's recent record in this type of market is relevant context. They paid €4m for a Young Boys player in 2022 and €2m for a Dynamo Moscow midfielder in 2023, so a deal in the lower half of the quoted range would fit their pattern precisely. Partizan, meanwhile, sold to AZ Alkmaar for €4m, suggesting the Serbian club knows what the market looks like. The concrete trigger to watch is whether Bologna return with a formal, written bid. If Partizan accept a fee, a medical would follow quickly given Ugresic's reported enthusiasm.
