Pervis Estupiñán to Aston Villa

Quiet since 18 July 2026. Last report: Ben Jacobs. Probability when it went quiet: 14%.

Aston Villa are pushing hard to sign Pervis Estupiñán from AC Milan as Unai Emery's replacement for Lucas Digne at left back. The player has already agreed personal terms, reportedly a deal worth around €3m a year plus bonuses, and wants the move. Fabrizio Romano and Matteo Moretto both confirmed personal terms were done on 16 July, while Daniele Longo has tracked the fee gap closely, moving from an €18m to €20m Milan asking price down toward a reported €15m Villa bid. Personal terms being settled this early usually points to a move with real momentum, and Villa's interest looks serious rather than exploratory. But the fee has stalled the process for several days now, with Longo describing a gap of two to three million euros between the clubs as recently as 16 July. Call it a deal that should happen on paper, held back by a stubborn few million in valuation. Estupiñán's market history shows Villa are in a similar bracket to before. Villarreal sold him to Brighton for €18m, and Watford moved him to Villarreal for €16m, so a fee in the €15m to €22m range being discussed now sits comfortably within his established price history.
