Rafael Leão to Fenerbahçe

This move fell through. Last report: Fabrizio Romano, 3 August 2026.

Jorge Mendes is pushing hard for a move that would take Rafael Leão from AC Milan to Fenerbahçe, with a reported bid of €47m already on the table according to Daniele Longo. The 27-year-old Portuguese attacker, contracted to Milan until 2028, has a market value of roughly €51m, and the fee being discussed ranges between €47m and €66m. Critically, Leão himself has not said yes. Fenerbahçe's camp also publicly denied a report of a total package worth around €100m, calling those figures false, which clouds the picture further. The story rests primarily on Daniele Longo, a reliable Italian source, who has reported both Mendes's involvement and Galatasaray's separate pursuit via agent George Gardi. Antonio Vitiello, one of the most credible voices on Milan affairs, corroborated the noise by publishing Fenerbahçe's official denial of the €100m package claim. Two solid Italian sources, then, but no outlet of the top rank has called this done or close. This is a long shot right now. Leão is not yet convinced by the Fenerbahçe proposal, Milan hold the contractual whip hand until 2028, and Galatasaray are also pressing. Until the player signals genuine interest in leaving, the fee gap and rival destinations are secondary concerns. For context, Fenerbahçe's recent biggest signings have come in well below the current asking price: Lazio received €28m from the club in 2026, and Benfica took €23m in 2025. Leão's own transfer from Lille to AC Milan cost €50m back in 2019, so Milan's valuation is not unreasonable, but it would represent a significant step up from what Fenerbahçe have histo
