Rodrigo Guth to Fortuna Sittard

Quiet since 14 August 2026. Last report: German Garcia Grova. Probability when it went quiet: 8%.

Rodrigo Guth, the 25-year-old Brazilian defender, is the subject of a move from Talleres Córdoba to Fortuna Sittard of the Eredivisie. The player is under contract at Talleres until the end of 2028, and the framework on the table is a loan for a year with an option to buy. The most recent reporting has Guth already travelling for a medical and to sign, with Talleres freeing up both a reinforcement slot and a foreigner slot. That is a fast-moving picture for a deal still officially at the rumour stage. The latest updates come from German Garcia Grova, a solid mid-ranking voice, who reports Guth has already flown out for his medical and signature. The earlier and firmer signal came from Cesar Luis Merlo, a more heavyweight source, who described the talks as advanced and Talleres as optimistic about closing everything. Two reporters pointing the same way is encouraging, though the underlying detail is not yet fully settled between them. The honest read is that this is against the odds for now. There is genuine substance here, with a medical mentioned and a club optimistic, yet the structure of the deal has wobbled between a definitive sale and a loan with an option. For it to complete, both clubs need to lock down which of those it actually is and get the paperwork signed. The money fits Fortuna Sittard's habits. They paid €1m to bring in players from Hellas Verona and from Stade Reims, both in 2023, and Guth himself is valued at around €1m. Watch for the medical to be confirmed passed and the contract signed. That is the trigger that turns this from strong noise into a done d
