Tuur Rommens to Club Brugge
Quiet since 15 August 2026. Last report: Sacha Tavolieri. Probability when it went quiet: 8%.
Club Brugge have made the first move for Tuur Rommens, the 23-year-old Belgian defender currently at Rangers. So far this is an enquiry rather than an offer: Brugge have contacted Rangers to ask about the player's profile and the shape of a possible deal. The numbers being floated sit between €7m and €10m, broadly in line with Rommens's market value of around €7m. His Rangers contract runs until June 2029, with a club option attached, so there is no urgency forcing anyone's hand. The story comes from Sacha Tavolieri, a well-regarded reporter carrying a solid credibility rating. He frames it as genuine interest, but he is clear that no bid has landed. For now this rests on a single reliable voice, not a chorus, so treat it as a credible early signal rather than a done deal. The chance is against the odds as things stand. An enquiry is a long way from an agreement, and Rangers hold a strong hand: a contract to 2029 plus an option means they can simply say no or set a steep price. For this to move, Brugge would need to turn interest into a concrete offer and Rangers would need a reason to sell. On the money, Brugge have form at this level. They paid €8m to Spezia Calcio in 2019, €8m to Union SG, and €10m for a player from Inter. A €7m to €10m outlay for Rommens would fit that pattern comfortably. The next real trigger is a firm bid from Brugge. Until that arrives, and until Rangers signal any willingness to sell, this stays a watchful early rumour.
