Warren Zaïre-Emery to Bayern Munich
This move fell through. Last report: Christian Falk, 3 August 2026.
The link pairing Warren Zaïre-Emery with Bayern Munich is, on the evidence available, dead on arrival. The 20-year-old France midfielder is tied to Paris Saint Germain until 30 June 2029 on a deal that carries a club option, so any suitor would need to prise him away against the wishes of a selling club holding all the leverage. The numbers being floated sit between €93m and €131m, well north of his roughly €61m market value. As things stand, this is not talks or an agreement. It is a story that has been shot down. The most recent word comes from Christian Falk, a well-regarded voice on Bayern matters, who states flatly that Zaïre-Emery has 'no chance' of joining the German champions. That is a single, credible source, and crucially he is briefing against the move rather than for it. There is no corroborating chorus pushing the deal forward, which tells its own story. So this is a long shot, and a distant one. For it to revive, Paris Saint Germain would have to soften on a player they clearly rate, and Bayern would need to commit a fee at the upper end of a very steep range. Neither looks close. The chance is slim. Bayern have paid these sums before. They spent €95m on a Tottenham arrival in 2023 and €80m on an Atlético signing in 2019, so the money is not fanciful for them. The willingness of the selling club is the problem here, not the budget. What would change the picture is a genuine bid landing and Paris Saint Germain entertaining it. Until that happens, treat the trail as cold.
