Yan Diomande to PSG

This move fell through. Last report: Fabrice Hawkins, 28 July 2026.

PSG have pulled out of the race for Yan Diomande. Fabrice Hawkins reported exclusively on 26 July that the Paris club withdrew from the deal, refusing to meet what they considered disproportionate demands from RB Leipzig, with Nasser Al-Khelaifi unwilling to stretch PSG's financial balance. That is a sharp reversal: only 24 hours earlier, Diomande had a reported personal agreement with PSG and their talks were live enough to involve both Al-Khelaifi and Leipzig's Oliver Mintzlaff. The withdrawal is confirmed by two credible French voices. Hervé Penot backed Hawkins's account on the same day, framing PSG's exit as a deliberate choice rather than a failure. Ben Jacobs had flagged Real Madrid's growing optimism from the player's side on 25 July, and that thread now looks far more significant given PSG's departure. Fabrizio Romano had established back in July that Leipzig's asking price sat at €120m, while BBC Sport noted a figure as high as €152m in circulation. With PSG gone, this move is, for now, a long shot. Real Madrid remain the live suitor and Hawkins reported their leadership believes they can win Diomande over, but Leipzig's valuation, which has ranged between €100m and €172m in reported conversations, is the wall every club must clear. Leipzig also reportedly prefer Diomande to extend his contract, which runs until June 2030, or stay another season. The only precedent in file is Diomande's own move to Leipzig from CD Leganés for €20m in 2025, which illustrates how rapidly his value has been reassessed. Watch for whether Real Madrid formalise a bid. If Leipzig accept
