What holds it back is exactly that distance, a submitted offer that has not yet been met, and discussions described as nothing advanced. The number reflects a real, live interest that simply has a lot still to prove. The money is in keeping with how Toulouse sell. They banked £15m selling to Villarreal, £14m to Bologna and £14m to Monaco in 2024, so an asking price near £15.8m sits squarely within their established range. Watch for Toulouse accepting a revised bid, or talks moving from initial to advanced. Until then, this stays a rumour.
