Zan Vipotnik to Hull City
Quiet since 11 August 2026. Last report: Anthony Joseph. Probability when it went quiet: 4%.
Hull City want Zan Vipotnik, and Swansea have said no. The Championship side rejected an opening bid from Hull for the 24-year-old Slovenia striker, with the offer landing well below their valuation. Vipotnik was the top goalscorer in the Championship last season, so Swansea have every reason to dig in. The numbers being discussed range from €29m up to €41m, and Vipotnik is tied down until 2030, which hands Swansea all the leverage. No agreement is close. The report comes from Anthony Joseph, a genuinely reliable voice on this kind of business. That gives the story real weight. For now, though, it rests on a single credible source rather than a chorus, so treat it as a firm first move rather than a deal gathering pace. This is a long shot as things stand. Swansea have already turned Hull away, and for it to progress Hull will need to climb a long way towards, or past, the €29m to €41m bracket. With a contract until 2030 and a market value around €22m, Swansea are under no pressure to sell. The gap between what has been offered and what Swansea want is the whole story. Hull rarely spend at this level. Their recent signings include Stade Rennais for €9m, Aston Villa for €6m in 2023, Farense for €6m and Norwich for €5m. A fee starting at €29m would dwarf all of those, which tells you how big a stretch this deal really is for them. Watch for a second, improved bid. If Hull return closer to Swansea's valuation, the picture shifts quickly.
