Folarin Balogun to Paris Saint-Germain

Quiet since 8 July 2026. Last report: The Athletic / David Ornstein. Probability when it went quiet: 7%.

Paris Saint-Germain are tracking Folarin Balogun as one option to fill the centre-forward gap left by Gonçalo Ramos's departure, but this is firmly at the interest stage. Monaco are willing to sell, want around €50 million (roughly €51m), and have received no new deal talks from the 25-year-old, who favours a move. PSG have not yet submitted a bid that meets that valuation, and Balogun sits on a shortlist that includes other names, meaning no formal approach has been agreed. The most recent signal is now almost two weeks old. David Ornstein at The Athletic is the load-bearing source here, having broken Balogun's expected departure and Monaco's asking price across two separate reports in late June and early July 2026. Paul Tenorio corroborated the €50 million figure. Santi Aouna, credible at the French end, added that PSG view Balogun positively internally, while noting the striker faces competition from other clubs pursuing him. The sourcing is solid but dated, with no fresh movement reported since 8 July. This is a long shot for PSG right now. Monaco are holding firm at a price no club has yet matched, and Balogun is one of several options PSG are considering rather than a clear priority. Both sides would need to close a gap of several million pounds, and PSG would need to move him up their rankings, for this to complete. Monaco have form for selling at this level. They received €45m from Chelsea in 2023 and €45m from Liverpool in 2018, so demanding €51m-plus for a proven asset is consistent with how the club operates. Balogun himself arrived from Arsenal for €31m in 2023,
