Mandela Keita to Atalanta

As things stand, this is interest and little more. Mandela Keita, the 24-year-old Belgian midfielder, is named on Atalanta's shortlist, with Parma understood to have set an asking price of around £17m (€20M). No talks have opened and no bid has landed; Atalanta are far from the only suitors, with two unnamed Premier League sides also said to be watching. Keita is contracted to Parma until 2029, so the Italian club hold the cards and feel no pressure to sell cheaply. The reporting is credible but thin. Nicolo Schira, a reliable voice, frames it as concrete interest rather than active negotiation, putting Atalanta among several admirers. Gianluigi Longari, similarly well-regarded, describes Keita as a shortlist option and calls the link speculative. Two trustworthy reporters, then, but both stop short of confirming talks, this is early-stage noise, not a deal taking shape. The engine reflects that gap. A longshot like this can still happen, but plenty must fall into place first: Atalanta need to move from admiring Keita to actually bidding, Parma's £17m valuation must be met or negotiated down, and the competing Premier League interest must fade rather than firm up. With no talks, no offer and a long contract protecting Parma, the probability sits low for good reason. The money is in keeping. Atalanta paid Leverkusen £16m in 2025 and AZ Alkmaar £15m for recent additions, so Parma's asking price fits their spending habits. Keita himself cost Parma £10m from Royal Antwerp in 2024.
