Marc Casadó to Monaco

Quiet since 15 July 2026. Last report: Graeme Bailey. Probability when it went quiet: 5%.

Marc Casadó looks set to leave Barcelona this summer, with the club ready to sell at around €25m and the player himself keen to go. What is far less settled is where he ends up. Monaco were the early frontrunners in this story, but that link is now 50 days old and has gone quiet. Jorge Mendes, his agent, is working the phones on multiple fronts rather than pushing one deal over the line. The strongest recent reporting comes from Gianluigi Longari, who says Mendes is talking to Besiktas and Saudi Pro League clubs alongside Milan, with no mention of Monaco in that latest update. Slightly older but more advanced in tone is Matteo Moretto, who reported Casadó had already agreed to leave Barcelona and that Mendes held two offers with a deal possible before June 30. Neither source names Monaco as a live option right now, which matters. Given that, Monaco have to be rated a long shot rather than a leading candidate. Barcelona's willingness to sell at their asking price is not in doubt. What is missing is fresh evidence Monaco are still in the race at all, with Besiktas and Saudi interest now crowding the picture instead. Monaco have paid similar money before. They signed players from Genoa for €21m, and from Sevilla, Juventus and Leverkusen for €20m each, so a fee in the €18m to €25m range would sit comfortably with their usual business. Barcelona, for context, sold to Atlético for €22m back in 2023. Watch for any fresh reporting naming Monaco specifically, or confirmation of which two offers Mendes is actually weighing before the June 30 deadline he was said to be working towards
